FUNDRAISING

As a small, local, independent Charity, we rely upon the generosity and support of our wider community to continue the services we provide. We don’t have the resources or income of some of the larger operations so we have to work harder; this is where you can come in.

There are many ways you can help us to raise much needed funds for the work we do. Our friendly team will be on hand to support you and work with you.

Sponsored events

Raise money by taking part in local and national sponsored events. From walks to marathons, or create your own event and get others involved.

Charity of the year schemes

If you have a business or work for an organisation who want to support their local community, you can nominate WSBPS for a Charity of The Year. We love to work alongside wider community groups building working partnerships and raising awareness of our Charity and the work we do.

Run a fundraising event

If you’ve got energy to share, want to inspire others in your area and raise money for people with sight loss, you can get your school, company, neighbourhood and friends involved. If you have an idea, we’d love to hear from you!

As a small Charity, we keep our costs low. Any money you raise will go a long way, we can do a lot with a little. For example:

  • £50.00 will pay for one person to receive low vision equipment and daily living training for 10 weeks.
  • £250 will pay for 6 people to do a 10 week IT course enabling them to increase their skills, social networks, on line services and increase independent living.

However you are able to support us, all the money you raise will go towards providing services and support to people living with sight loss.
