Our Services.

FULLY EQUIPPED RESOURCE CENTRE

Our resource centre provides a wide range of low vision and daily living aids available for demonstration and purchase. We are open to the public daily, from 9am to 4pm. We have friendly staff and volunteers available to help and advise our visitors.

BRAILLE CLASS

We run a Braille class run by Social Services Rehabilitation Team on Friday mornings between 10am and 12pm. For a referral to this group please contact us at Ashville Lodge. 

OUTREACH ADVOCACY SERVICE

Our advocacy officer can advise on accessing services, help with making official complaints and offers advice and assistance on benefits and application forms. Home visits are available on request. 

POTTERY CLASSES, CREATIVE ACTIVITIES AND ART GROUPS

These sessions are run by professional tutors and are open to all, whether you have a general interest or hobby, or are looking to build up your skills on a accredited course. Visit our Activities page for further details on session times. 

LOCAL HISTORY GROUP

Our local history session offers informal discussion and group study of the history of Merseyside. More information can also be found on our Activities page. 

AFTERNOON SOCIALS

Our afternoon socials run weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. They offer a chance to socialise for the older age group, with annual Christmas parties, birthday celebrations, and refreshments every week. 

YOGA CLASSES

Our yoga classes run every Thursday morning by Bea Gott, a professional yoga instructor. All our welcome to join for an hour of gentle movement and relaxation. 

AUDIO BOOK LIBRARY

We have a range of 2000 titles on audio, from classic novels to comedy in our purpose built audio library. Simply sign up via the details on the Contact us page to take advantage of this service. 

HOSPITAL OUTREACH SERVICE

Now working in partnership with the NHS Trust, our hospital liaison officers Geoff Pennock and Helen
Pickavance offer help and advice at Arrowe Park Hospital for those newly diagnosed with sight problems. Further details can be found on the Arrowe Park section of the website. 

ICT COMPUTER TRAINING COURSE

Our ICT courses cater to all levels of computer literacy and to all age groups. We offer ITQ level qualifications run in partnership with Wirral Metropolitan College.
