We need your help!

get-involvedWe rely on the generosity of others and wouldn’t be able to offer any of our services without it.

We’re here to help those that are blind or visually impaired get as much from life as they possibly can. We don’t have the resources or the income of some of the large, national operations – so we have to work harder – and that’s where you come in!

There are many ways you can help us raise much needed funds for the work that we do. You’ll find details on this page about donating, volunteering, events, runs and challenges, getting your company or school involved and organising your own sponsored event.

Regardless of what you choose to do or how you plan on getting involved, our friendly team is on hand to help make life easy for you.

Donate directly now...
We rely on voluntary donations – our work wouldn’t be possible without people like you. Want to donate now? Simple, just visit our JustGiving page and leave a one-off donation for any amount you’d like.
Give a regular amount - Become an Ashville Angel
Our centre needs £150,000 a year to run our services and a great way to help us financially is by giving a regular monthly amount. Here’s an idea of what we can do with your help:

  • £2/month can help towards daily living equipment
  • £5/month can help to support our home visit service
  • £10/month helps support our ‘listening ear’ service
  • £20/month will help with transport for those that are socially isolated
  • £25/month will help with our family and young people support group

If you think you can give a regular amount email or call us today for a standing order form and we’ll help you set things up.

Volunteering
Many volunteers, of all ages, give their time to the WSBPS. We wouldn’t be able to run our services without you!

We always need volunteers to help across our services at our centre. We welcome all levels of experience and in return we offer you interesting and rewarding days out, a sense of achievement and endless fun!

Events & Challenges
Take part in one of our many events or challenges, or you could even plan your own fundraising event!

In 2010 a friend of the charity attempted to climb Mont Blanc on our behalf and raised £1500. We have had people run marathons, do sponsored swims and much more. If you’re doing something amazing in the coming months then we’d be forever grateful if you could do it on our behalf.

JustGiving makes it very straightforward to setup a campaign. Visit this page, follow the instructions and away you go!

Our team will help to publicise your challenge too so be sure to get in touch and we’ll work alongside you.
